1. Basic Safety Training (BST – STCW)
DG Shipping approved STCW Basic Safety Training course covering PST, FPFF, EFA & PSSR. Mandatory certification for all seafarers.

2. Advanced Fire Fighting (AFF – STCW)
DG Shipping approved STCW Advanced Fire Fighting course for officers. Mandatory under STCW Table A-VI/3 for shipboard fire response.
AFF is mandatory for officers and senior crew responsible for fire control onboard ships.
Yes, AFF is required for competency certification, rank promotion, and CoC renewal.
AFF certificate is valid for 5 years and requires refresher training.
3. Medical First Aid (MFA – STCW)
STCW Medical First Aid course approved by DG Shipping. Mandatory under STCW A-VI/4-1 for officers providing onboard medical care.
Officers designated to provide medical first aid onboard as per STCW regulations.
Yes. MFA covers immediate first aid, while Medical Care is a higher-level course for senior officers.
The Medical First Aid certificate is valid for 5 years.
4. Ship Security Officer (SSO – STCW / ISPS)
DG Shipping approved Ship Security Officer (SSO) course as per STCW and ISPS Code. Mandatory for designated ship security officers.
SSO is mandatory only for officers designated as Ship Security Officer onboard.
The course complies with STCW Table A-VI/5 and the ISPS Code.
SSO certification is valid for 5 years.
5. ECDIS (Generic & Type Specific – STCW)
DG Shipping approved ECDIS course as per STCW. Mandatory for deck officers for safe navigation and watchkeeping compliance.
Yes, ECDIS training is mandatory for officers in charge of navigational watch.
Generic covers basic ECDIS operation, while Type-Specific focuses on the installed system onboard.
